"Our outside wedding took place on August 29th, 2009, in the rain, with umbrellas instead of tents. Roy was nothing short of wonderful. We had booked another officiant, however due to a very serious illness she had to cancel, and Roy stepped in 11 days before the wedding. Needless to say I was very stressed having a change in officiant so close to the wedding. We had already met and discussed everything with the first officiant, and did not have a chance to meet Roy before the wedding. Prior to the wedding during our contact to discuss everything, he was reassuring and open to us writing our own vows, adding readings and involving our family and friends the way we wanted. Roy was very sincere and genuine, and he had a great presence to him. Our ceremony was perfect. He always had a smile on his face, and his tone of voice was perfect. As the bridal party was arriving at the altar, he was wonderful in directing and organizing everyone quietly, so that we all knew where to stand and what to do, especially when it came to the signing.
